South Africa gave away a 0-2 lead to be held to a 2-2 draw by United Arab Emirates at the World Youth Championship in Egypt.

The South Africans broke the deadlock through Kermit Erasmus in the 54th minute, and the Excelsior Rotterdam forward added a second in minute 72.

A second yellow card for Ramahlwe Mphahlele left South Africa a man down in the 88th minute, and Hamdan al Kamali converted a penalty to give UAE renewed hope.
