Fabio Cannavaro (l) won't be able to play for up to twenty days due to a thigh injury.

Fabio Cannavaro won`t be able to play in the Champions League battle against Bayern Munich, on September 30. The Juventus defender suffered a thigh injury during Tuesday`s Champions League match against Bordeaux (1-1).

Scans revealed Cannavaro sustained a first-degree adductor longus muscle strain in his left thigh. The 36-year-old is ruled out for two or three weeks.

Midfielders Felipe Melo and Tiago also sustained injuries during Tuesday`s match. They are expected to be sidelined only for Saturday`s match against Livorno.

There wasn`t only bad news from Juve`s medical staff: midfielder Diego will return to the training field next week.

Juventus expects the Brazilian international will be able to play against Bayern Munich.
