Pato steals Kaka limelight as Milan down Real

21 October 2009 23:10

AC Milan´s forward Pato celebrates scoring his team´s third goal against Real Madrid during a Champions League group C football match at Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid. Pato outshone compatriot Kaka scoring twice as AC Milan defeated Real Madrid 3-2 in the Group C Champions League match at a rain-soaked Santiago Bernabeu.

MADRID (AFP) - Emerging Brazilian star Alexandre Pato outshone compatriot Kaka scoring twice as AC Milan defeated Real Madrid 3-2 in the Group C Champions League match at a rain-soaked Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday.

Kaka was the main attraction as he faced Milan for the first time since leaving the club for Real in the summer but it was the 20-year-old Pato, touted as his successor, who took the headlines scoring an 88th minute winner to inflict Real's first European defeat of the season as Milan joined Real on six points at the top of the group.

Real led through Raul's 19th goal following a terrible howler from Milan goalkeeper Dida, but Milan scored twice in four minutes through Andrea Pirlo (62) and Pato (64) to turn the game on its head.

Dutch midfielder Roysten Drenthe thought he was Real's saviour with a 76th minute equaliser to delight the fans who have often jeered him but Pato struck again in the dying minutes of the game with a clinical finish.

Real travel to Milan on November 3 for the next group match with Milan now slight favourites to win the group due to home advantage.

All eyes were on Kaka before kick-off as the Brazilian, a 65-million-euro capture from Milan, faced the club where he made his name before Milan's financial problems persuaded him to leave.

It was also an emotional night for 33-year-old Dutch midfielder Clarence Seedorf who returned to Real with whom he won the 1998 Champions League.

With Cristiano Ronaldo, top-scorer in this season's Champions League, out injured Karim Benzema started alongside veteran Raul up front.

Real coach Manuel Pellegrini played down Ronaldo's absence.

"We had the game under control and it all changed suddenly in a few minutes," said Pellegrini.

"We need our best players and Cristiano (Ronaldo) is one of them but we didn't lose because he wasn't playing. We lost because we made defensive mistakes and got punished by an experienced Milan team."

Drenthe added: "I don't think our confidence is low. We have a good team here and we will try to go to Milan and win there and progress to the next round."

Milan coach Leonardo's starting line-up was very attack-minded with Brazilians Ronaldinho and Pato providing the supply line for predator Filippo Inzaghi.

Real old boy Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, sold after just seven months at the club, had to be content with a place on the bench on his return to the Spanish capital.

It was a low-key opening as both sides felt each other out with jeers for former Barca player Ronaldinho, wearing the number 80 shirt, and a penalty shout for a foul on Benzema.

Milan goalkeeper Dida had little to do and looked to have everything under control in saving Raul's tame shot after 19 minutes. Dida held the shot but then inexplicably dropped the ball into Raul's path for the disbelieving captain to stroke home.

At the other end Real custodian Iker Casillas could have gone into the stands to watch the game with Milan failing to muster a single shot in the first half.

Kaka had been quiet but came to life at the beginning of the second half zipping a shot just wide and then forcing a save from Dida who was desperate to atone for his gaffe.

Real were trying to force the issue for a second goal with Milan looking marginally more threatening and in the 62nd minute Pirlo equalised out of the blue. The Italy World Cup winner caught Casillas off-guard with a fierce dipping shot from 30 yards out.

Two minutes later Casillas mistimed coming out of his goal, missed the ball, and Pato rolled into an empty net. However, substitute Drenthe equalised 12 minutes later with a left-footed drive in a frantic spell.

Both teams had goals disallowed in the closing stages and Milan were incensed with the referee with ex-Madrid star Seedorf playing the peacemaker role. Pato then had the final say, striking two minutes from time, to gift victory to the seven-time European champions.

Giorgio and Mark, just hold on to your horses. Don’t tell me that you told me AC Milan was definitively going to steal at least a point in Madrid, let alone 3 points. After Milan, Real Madrid is my most loved football club (sorry Mark, MU is forth). I have been cheering for Real Madrid since 1956. Given the problems AC Milan has been having in the last two years, I sincerely believed that Real was going to beat them. Well, am I happy? Yes, but only because that dim wit, soccerwinner, has been calling my AC Milan, “Ass Milan.” In addition, Milan showed the kind of pride which has made them, alongside Real Madrid, the most successful club in history.

I expected a 1-1 for this game and a 300e profit but it didn't go so , never mind . Seeing live the 2 greatest football clubs in the world was a joy to forget my lost money , I was say ahi ahi questo Milan in the first period with a bad referee who refused a penalty for Benzema but suddenly everything changed in the second period after Casillas and Albiol experienced their worst moments , with Pipo leaving the pitch and Madrid who forgot their defense and a selfish Raul Milan did the inexpected . Perez doesn't realize yet that dominating , playing beautiful , shooting more , attacking all the time is not enough to save his place after 4 years .

The 2 greatest clubs in the world went to the same group and they will play again the final here at Bernabéu next year , or after 7 months exactly .

Congratulations Claudio and Italo for your club if you read this or see you tomorrow after work ;)

Congrats to the Milan faithful. This was an important win for them, considering the run of poor form the players have been in. However, I have to comment on the shameful display of goalkeeping today, from both keepers! Dida looked like an absolute fool for the first goal, and Casillas didn't look much better, getting beat near post from 30+ yards out by Pirlo. Drenthe's goal made Dida look moronic at best (another near post beating), and Iker lost his mind, charging out of the area on Pato's first. Pato's second was the only decent goal of the match, and it too was a shot which could have been saved! A big fat F to the keepers today!

Other than that, Kaka looked uninspired, and Benzema got no adequate service. Nor did Pato or Pipo for that matter. Ronaldihno looked good IMO. He showed some flashes of old brilliance today, while Marcelo had a very good game by recent standards. He dribbled well, and looked dangerous going forward. Nobody else really impressed me today though. A bit disapointing really.

Like I said though, it's good to see Milan get a much needed win, despite the fact that I'm a Real supporter. I never like to see big clubs down in the dumps. To the people who thought Real would thrash Milan today... what are you thinking?! Milan might not be in form, but to predict a 4-1 or 5-0 Real victory (which I saw posted on this site) is insulting and rediculous. We are not 3 or 4 goals better than Milan, just like Liverpool are not 5 goals better than us.

Fred,

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect last night, but I'm not surprised by the result, i.e. not after watching the way Real play !!

Last night's match is confirmation that Milan is still one of the greatest clubs in the world and that they still play, even when they play badly, the best football in the world.

Real Madrid have shown that they do not have a tactical game plan and Kaka confirmed it in a post-match press conference. I guess that Kaka must be really missing Milan, he must be missing all those great players who really know how to play football.

With regard to Pellegrini, as I said in one of my posts at the beginning of the season, I cannot see him lasting until the end of the season (i.e. if Real carry on playing the way they do now). And if Real should not get past the group stages in CL, he'll be gone before Christmas.

And Florentino Perez must have realized that spending huge amounts of money is not the sure recipe for success !! And maybe he's also realised that some of his players are overrated.

And to all those bloggers who have repeatedly stated that Milan is a football team of "old men", the time has come for you to be quiet !!!!!!!!!!!!

Fred, I did tell you not to dismiss Milan from getting something from the game and I based that on my own observations on how both teams had been playing of late, it wasn’t an opportunity for me to take a cheap shot at Real, like some do with United on here!

It’s nice to see everyone getting along and appreciating football for what it is “a game” but I’m sorry to rain on peoples parade because as much of a spectacle the game was it only reaffirmed my opinion that Real have a lot of work to do if they and their supporters still wish to class themselves as true contenders for this seasons title. The defending from both sides was shocking and the goalkeepers didn’t install any confidence into their respective teams. Pato’s winner was the best of the night but the Real defence need to take a long at the video tapes and ask themselves why they gave Seedorf what seemed to be a lifetime to make his mind up what he wanted to do with the ball!

Well done Milan and commiserations to Real but on last nights performance both sets of players will be sat at home watching the final on TV!

Soccerwinner , nice to hear you are alive what have you been doing lately ? I got a flu after yesterday's game under the rain all night outside and I missed to go to work today , but let me start with Chelsea4ever today .

Well I believe NONE of Barça or Chelsea will go to the final , Chelsea will run out of batteries and Barça did the biggest mistake of their life by selling Eto'o . If Robinho comes in winter break , problems will be worst !

Giorgio , your team "Inter" need miracle to qualify to the second round , so don't worry about Madrid we will qualify with a beautiful way in San Siro after 10 days ! I have seen the team Pellegrini prepared to face Milan and I said 1-1 , trying with Lass , Raul and Benzema to break Milan's defence who used many times 6 defenders is just impossible to find the hole .

Madrid played football yesterday , we could close the game after the first goal was scored and put our guys more behind to defend like Milan did , but NO , Pellegrini under pressure he has to continue attacking but I hope this won't happen always , he said we are waiting Ronaldo but I will say I am waiting Higuain , he is the MAN , both missing yesterday and seeing Raul selfish with every ball I almost quit Bernabéu yeaterday .

Let's not forget that penalty refused for Benzema , so except those mistakes from goalkeepers the score could be 1-1 even we had 13 corners against 3 , 27 shots against 11 , but I do said it Milan will surprise us with our actual shorthanded team .

About 10 days left , if Cristiano and Higuain will join Kaka and Xabi Milan will have no chance at San Siro , but I do believe they will qualify in the last game against Marseille in Milan , they will make it to the final with Madrid , mark my word .

Some teams like Sevilla and ManU are very lucky for having so easy groups , playing Milan and Marseille is not the same with playing Moscow and Wolfsburg , Barça's and Juventus groups too are tough !

ManU played again a boring game , playing for a draw and wishing a chance to score 1 goal like they did in every game , we play to entertain the world of football and not to turn around on the pitch and steal the show with 1 goal scored at the end like always ManU did .

Teams must avoid the boring way of ManU , blowing them NON stop like Liverpool and Barça did last year is a good way to stop them .

Here are the ones who will qualify :

Madrid Milan

Sevilla Urziceni

Barça and the winner of Dynamo -Inter

ManU Wolfsburg

Chelsea Porto

Lyon Fiorentina or Liverpool?? I hope not , or if the scousers qualify good for ManU who will meet them, bye bye ManU .

Arsenal and Olympiakos .

No luck left for boring football after that , Madrid ,Barça , Milan and Chelsea will make the show of the best football in the world !

What a load of tosh, the prediction man is back. You are entitled to your opinion but at least base it on something that you have watched holly. United bossed last nights game and didn’t stop attacking until the final whistle where most teams would have sat back and defended at 1-0 in Moscow. Real and Milan were awful last night, if you think that those two teams will make it to this years final based on what you saw last night then you was watching through rose tinted spectacles.

By the way, you never ever predicted anything about Everton beating United earlier this year and your recent CL predictions you only have a handful right, funnily the ones that mattered the most to you were way off and the predictions with the correct outcome the scores were a million miles off. Nobody disagreed that Spain would win and predicting a Barca win in Rome with a 50/50 chance was not a massive gamble, even if Barca wouldn’t have stood a chance against United you still would have gone for Barca win. But I can see straight through your comments Holly!

Chelsea4ever

22 October 2009 12:44

WHAT ABOUT ARSEANAL'S GROUP ??? IT'S EVEN MORE EASIER THAN MANCHESTER UTD'S GROUP !!!!!!!!!!

SERIOUS

22 October 2009 12:52

True , Man Utd and the Gooners are lucky to be in such easy groups .

newtonheath1878

22 October 2009 13:34

These recent comments on “easier groups” are pathetic and disrespectful to the teams involved. Any team that makes it through to the group stages warrants respect. Wolfsburg are German champions, you don’t win the Bundesliga by being a team of mugs and without being derogative to Milan and Marseille, Milan finish third in their league and French domestic football is not on the same level as German, Italian, Spanish and English football. So please cut the crap about easier groups as it reeks of desperation.

I will always give credit where credit is due! The performers of the night were Chelsea who demolished a decent Spanish side.

By the way holly, Real had ten shots “on target” at home, funnily enough United had exactly the same away from home with a better ball possession percentage than Real, but hey they’re just “boring football” statistics!

hollyice

22 October 2009 14:40

Newty said :

"I will always give credit where credit is due! The performers of the night were Chelsea who demolished a decent Spanish side."

Our rivals Atlético (oh how much I hate them too) are the worst team in this Champions league , they are the worst in Spain actually with conceding 17 goals after only 7 games !

Is this a credit to Chelsea against a team who are deeply in crisis and troubles ? I a good day Atlétco can beat us with the hate and motivation they play with against Madrid , but then they give up against average teams like Chelsea !

Again Newty you know nothing about football except the park of Old Trafford and the area which surrounds it !

Well , talking about possession , boring football has nothing against ball possession statistics but if you watched the first period yesterday you will say like me "Ahi , Ahi Questo Milan ! " Madrid were forcing themselves when they didn't need to , when they were leading 1-0 they can use Capello's style and protect the result , but what for to win the 3 points ? with a boring way ? No , better they strike whatever it costs for us . I hope this "football show style" will end anyway because no any coach wants Madrid if they have to use the same style that our board wants , we concede a lot of goals that way and we lose all our best coaches !

We play beautiful first , the result after like di Stefano said .

Giorgio

22 October 2009 15:08

Holly,

You can keep on deluding yourself. The fact is, Real's first goal was a lucky goal, it was a gift from Dida.

And in the second half Milan were denied a legit gol, i.e. the final score could (should) have been 4-2 for Milan. And let's not forget that Real were playing at home.

You have a conveniently short memory, when it suits you !!

newtonheath1878

22 October 2009 15:25

Giorgio,

Holly just contradicts himself week in week out, he has come out with so much bull he forgets what he has said and then trips himself up without even realising.

Holly, Chelsea would annihilate your beloved Madrid I’m sorry to say! FACT

And the worst team in the CL this season is Rangers and until they swallow there pride and join a proper football league they will keep on getting whipped!

“we play beautiful first, the result after” I’m not on my own in stating that Madrid did not play beautiful first but they still got beat.

22 October 2009 16:08

Despite goalkeepers errors, the game was fantastic. Both teams played well. That is the most important thing for football since fed up with boring teams and games.

Pirlo was man of the match. He is probably the best midfielders all over the world and proved it last night.

In two weeks time, with Ronaldo and Higuain, the reasult will be different. Everything is who motivate better since top teams are very equal. Milan needed to win, motivated itself well and won the game.

hollyice

22 October 2009 16:21

Well said Avi , Milan needed to win and they did it well in the counter attacks where we are vulnerable .

As a respect for my Milanese friends I wouldn't say anything bad about Milan because they cheer for Madrid also . But , seeing Kaka and Leonardo yesterday talking and laughing to each other more like friends than opponents it's a rare picture to see in nowadays stadiums , and especially in such important games . I am not jaellous that Milan won , they needed really those 3 points , but I can say also now that we are in the same position I wouldn't say we will destroy Milan at home but we will win next game , if we have a complete team I won't say it will end 1-1 like I said yesterday but trust me it will be a bad day for Leonardo .

Anymore 10 days left for the most expensive player in the world to recuperate , when you have the best players such as Cristiano and Higuain missing you can't expect aging Raul to do well his job .

I said more than 1 week ago , if Cristiano and Kaka missing against Milan Pellegrini will need a miracle to win this game , and I know what I was saying , I do hate Barcelona but I said last year NO one will stop them when everyone here was singing ManU will win except me and ITalksense and some guys . We know what we are saying , and let me say it again I am not a witch but Real and Milan will make it to the final , Liverpool will kill ManU if they qualify and Chelsea will kill Liverpool again , that's how it goes for them .

I have a feeling Chelsea will fall Barcelona this time and Milan will stun Chelsea to join us in the final if we go through Sevilla .

Arsenal's young boys , Lyon and Bordeaux will leave earlier .

I hope Newty will agree that Liverpool will stun ManU like always but since they are lucky , the Glazers can pray they don't meet them this year too .

Giorgio , I am sorry for Inter they play anti-football too , if we meet them we want give them a chance with our vulnerable defense in counter attacks , all teams watch us playing football and then wait counter attacks to score , I have to say we are bad in that but teams like Inter will not be given a chance like Milan !

newtonheath1878

22 October 2009 16:47

Holly,

Again you have a short memory; you only backed Barca once Madrid had been knocked out by Liverpool then only because it was the voice of your cronies that you felt the need to support such a claim, along with your prediction that Inter would knock United out in the quarters and then Arsenal in the semis!

Avi, last nights match was great entertainment but I have to disagree with you that goalkeeping errors were only to blame. The defending, especially by Madrid was shockingly poor. Ramos did not know his arse from his elbow last night and was lucky to escape a red card for punching the ball into his own net, a goal which was then disallowed??????? No wonder the Milan players lost it! It may have been a blessing in disguise for Real to lose Ramos for the return match so if I was a Milan fan I wouldn’t be overly concerned at the injustice of the disallowed goal as long as Pellegrini plays Ramos again.

As I said Avi, it was great entertainment but from a circus point of view and unless there is a vast improvement we were definitely not watching the future champions of Europe at the Bernabeu last night (sorry Fred) as there are teams in this competition that will lap up and take advantage of the amount of poor play last night I can assure you!

hollyice

22 October 2009 17:05

The new guys played since august together , 2 months ago exactly . They will improve with time and they have 7 months to cover the holes in the defense . It will be maybe 10 champions leagues for Madrid or 8 for Milan , who knows ?

newtonheath1878

7 months?

You have to get through the group stages first, and on last nights performance that isn't guaranteed!

hollyice

22 October 2009 21:19

Tonto , I said "my Milanese friends Claudio and Italo" , they live in Madrid and they are fanatics of Milan and cheer for Madrid , you are not Milanese and Giorgio is not Claudio . I am talking about some other friends .

When I go to visit them we do take a look here to laugh after some posts , Giorgio is one guy they don't like here because he supports Inter and Milan !

Tontodonati

22 October 2009 22:18

I find it amusing that you had to write another posting just to tell us something you forgot on the previous one. Obviously you felt it was necessary to share with us that little information about your two friends just in case we would find out from a third party. I would love to know how many times a week you visit them. Not that I’m particularly interested to pay you guys a visit but for your sake lest your many enemies here would start murmuring. Can you please elaborate?

hollyice

22 October 2009 22:38

I added that information because I know many people think if you are Italian and live with a male friend you have to be a gay , I heard it many times here .

A lot of Italians live in Madrid and run businesses here , and I really dislike people who give jokes that Italians are gays . If you want to visit them I m sure they will appreciate if you say " I am a Milan fan " rather than Good Morning !

I was a bit shocked about Italians I found in this website , how easy they lick other ones balls and don't have any own opinion , I started even to doubt that Giorgio is some Serbian who lived in Italy ! He can't be Italian , forget about Tonto who says I am Canadian .

Oh an other thing , it's easy to make an anglo-saxon as a friend rather than an enemy . Just kep telling him you are right Man , I agree with you , especially if he is a ManU fan ! I wish I can have 70000 enemies !

22 October 2009 23:21

Pelergrini needs some advising on how to manage his defence. it is not in the interest of the team for defenders to overaggresive, Real has enough firepower upfront. Raul did not fail yesterday - it was the Abiol, Alonso etc at the back that failed in their responsibilty to cover Casilas. In short we need a new Coach. Ramos is better compared withis Pelegreen chap

hollyice

23 October 2009 07:15

I think Ramos was not bad or better than Pellegrini or even Schuster , but it's very strange how a coach makes a record of good results and then suddenly starts the opposite , Schuster lost many games in a row after a great win record , that happened to Ramos and I hope not for Pellegrini . When Capello left he said offensive play style is of old times , I seriously start to think he is right but that will kill our beautiful style if we adopt the actual standard of defensive style .We score a lot of goals but we concede a lot also and Pellegrini has nothing to do with that , at Villareal he did well his job and Perez is not behind this also , Vicente Calderon and Vicente Boluda didn't change this style either .

We need to go back to 2002 when we won the 3rd champions league in 5 years , if we look at our defense we had Roberto Carlos , Hierro , Helguera and Salgado covered by Makélélé , today's defense is not bad too but focusing the whole weight in front and leaving Albiol behind is not the best solution , Pepe and Ramos run more than any other defender in the world and sometimes they just can't catch with some strikers in counter attacks , that's why we are vulnerable . The day they put in mind that 1-0 is enough to win 3 points they will do better ! We are demanding too much from them and that's the difference between Madrid and other clubs .

Giorgio

23 October 2009 08:25

hollyice

23 October 2009 09:06

Chelsea , if you are talking about Madrid taht's your opinion , Pellegrini was great at Villareal and remember Robaldo , Tevez and co. couldn't score a single goal against his side . His style is more like Italian one , playing defensive and a 1 goal is enough to him but in Madrid things changed , our board asked him for more show , for mor goals and he can't do that with his own tactics , he is a bit lost in Madrid it's true but things will go better , I trust him . Madrid's style needs Cristiano , Higuain , Kaka and Xabi to be present all the time , we have a great team and the best players in the world but 2 months are not enough to work together like teams who have been many years playing .

Giorgio , I guess you "love" kids as you talk always about them , be careful where you finish !

Real men stay in their country , near their lovely club , lovely city , family , friends and society in general , I guess you have to have something wrong in your brains to go to South Africa , personally I don't trust you you went with a naive idea there , you have been a criminal , you have done l'Irréparable like Charles Baudelaire said , or it is in your mind to do it in South Africa !

Holly if real men only stayed close to home then Madrid would have never become the city that it is today. Where you dig these madcap ideas of yours beggars belief, do you have a list of stupid comments that you refer to? Nothing less than I have come to expect though!

Newty , the time when humanity needed adventures , building other countries , destroying other countries , exporting universal values ...etc it is in history . Spaniards did discover the world and opened the ways to a new world , we gave a lot for humanity before we were attacked by the muslims who tried to invade Europe !

Now things have changed , everyone should stay and build his country , poor and developing countries need to keep their highly educated people , the exodus we see in the world nowadays must stop !

If we talk politics , sports or whatever you want you need to have the same political , religious , sports views like me to convince me of better stuff , everything you will say is too low for me , too weak for the club I support and too naive for my political views .

you were attacked by extremism, not Muslims. extremism has no religion, ideology, ethic etc.

and I can assure you Newty was not one of the perpetrators behind Madrid attack. common sense...

Holly, you are too complicated for your own good. Having a sense of adventure has nothing to do with politics so cut the crap about your club and being naïve. I’m an educated man with many more years of acquired wisdom than yourself and you know nothing of my intellect regarding the social, economic and moral obligations of mankind. To even suggest that for you to agree that something could be better then the person suggesting the ideas has to have the same views as yourself is a huge contradiction in itself and lacks academic intelligence of any order. I won’t even touch on your comments about Spain discovering the world as I refuse to lower myself to such sightless opinion and I don’t know what they have been teaching you in school but I’m sure Fred and Giorgio will have something patriotic to inform you about the discovery of the so called “new world” according to the history books of the propagandists!

The day a man ditches adventure from his heart is the day the world stands still holly and do not forget that the Muslims taught your proud nation how to read and write!

Stick to football holly, if you make a fool of yourself whilst discussing football at least we can forgive you for your blind loyalty towards Madrid.

I’ll let you get on with your busy workload know because I’m sure you have a lot to catch up on after crying off work with a cold yesterday. Is your immune system ok holly? Because that’s the second time this year you have complained about being out in the rain and catching a cold or are you just want most of us think you are…a pussy!

Enjoy your English rock music!

Newty , I am not that complexed not to listen some rock because it's English , I don't like the English clubs and that's it . I'd better discuss in English than in Spanish also , football is one reason I can hate some people , cities or countries , but outside of this subject I don't care about other domains !

I realised here people judge other ones easily , you need to say one thing you are told you are a racist even if you play football with foreigners every sunday .If someone tells you I got flu which veryone gets in this kind of period you start to doubt about immunity system , too fragile and doubtful newty like always . I do understand the way you switch faiths with your fragile mentality , you doubt about everything around you , I forgot the name of this syndroma .

Chelsea , no one said Avi is not decent if I remember well the only ones who attacked him were Giorgio the sick boy and Tonto the "malicious" , I do agree with him about Giorgio that racist scum .

Back to football , Newty can you give your prediction about the Reds sunday's game ?

Holly when are you going to stop doing it to yourself? Please it is becoming embarrassing!

“Newty , I am not that complexed not to listen some rock because it's English , I don't like the English clubs and that's it . So you hate people, cities and countries because of a game! That in itself is very complexed holly. People have judged you on here holly because of this holly, I really don’t think you realise how prejudiced your comments can be percieved!

My thoughts for the weekends game, well on recent form one cannot really look any further than a United victory but this is a derby and everything, including form, goes out of the window. Liverpool will be bang up for this but whatever the outcome the result won’t have a huge effect on the season as a whole. I’m obviously hoping for a United victory “insallah”.

I’m going to leave you be now holly as I shouldn’t really be making fun of you on my holy day, so I appologise to you and wish you a pleasant weekend. A little bit of friendly advice…wear a coat, it works wonders!

Avi,

I think you will have noticed that all my initial comments, to any news item, are always topic relevant. It is never my fault if the discussion degenerates, like it has in this instance, to off topic nonsense.

I think you will also have noticed that I don't use offensive or vulgar language and that my comments to Holly are in retaliation to his provocations.

Unfortunately Holly is known to be provocative, i.e. to me, Tonto, Newty, Alboi, PHughes, etc., etc., etc., etc. More recently he has changed his style and now he's started being crude and vulgar in his comments.

I agree with you that we should keep our discussions civil and topic-relevant, but you are pointing the finger in the wrong direction.

Ok because everything you say goes opposite (tonto also) then I believe I can risk it for Liverpool . What about the blues Chelsea4? I need to find 8 more games ;)

Avi82, you stated that lately I've being kind to Holly. That's true. Even on this particular page I've been nice to him. I would never offend a supporter of Real Madrid. Holly supports them religiously. My little dialog with him centered on a hilarious information he shared with us about two good friends of his. If you read my replies to him, you'll find them funny rather than offensive. Please go back a few comments on this page and read them.
