Defending Portuguese champions FC Porto closed on leaders Benfica with a 2-1 victory over Rio Ave in Sunday's Liga Sagres action.
Hulk put Porto in the lead after 23 minutes at O Dragao stadium, but Rio Ave remained focused and equalized through Joao Tomas two minutes later.
The hosts had the final say however, as Silvestre Varela netted the winning goal with nine minutes to go in regular time.
After 11 rounds, the gap with Benfica stands at three points. However, Sporting Braga could move back into first place following their home match with Uniao de Leiria on Monday.
