Ronaldo hopes to play in 'clasico'

Real Madrid's Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo (R) having his right ankle checked by the team's doctor Henrique Jones (L) in Lisbon, on November 10. Ronaldo said Thursday he was recovering well from his ankle injury and hopes to play in the "clasico" match at Barcelona on November 29.

MADRID (AFP) - Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo said Thursday he was recovering well from his ankle injury and hopes to play in the "clasico" match at Barcelona on November 29.

"Everything is going very well, I have started running again and I think I will start training with the team next week," the Portuguese winger told Spanish media at a ceremony at Real's Bernebeu stadium.

"Of course, I want to play against Barcelona, but I want to play again before then," including against Zurich in the Champions League on November 25.

Ronaldo injured his right ankle in Real's 3-0 Champions League victory over Marseille at the end of September and aggravated the problem while playing for Portugal on October 10.

On Tuesday he was ruled out of his country's crucial World Cup play-off matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina on November 14 and 18 after undergoing medical tests on the injury in Lisbon.

Both Portugal - World Cup semi-finalists in 2006 - and Real had been locked in a battle over Ronaldo with the club insisting that he was not fit enough to travel.

Ronaldo, bought from Manchester United last summer for a world record 94 million euros, is the top scorer in the Primera Liga with five goals and in the Champions League with four.

Spanish media have reported that Real coach Manuel Pellegrini's job is in jeopardy after the team was eliminated from the Spanish Cup by third division minnows Alcorcon.

Pellegrini will use him against Barça to save his head but he can't help after being longtime injured . Big mistake .

Holly

My wife drove me into work this morning as my car is in for its annual service today. I was in the passenger seat which gave me the opportunity to watch the world go by rather than carry out my daily chore of concentrating on the traffic on the roads, Manchester was its usual busy, industrious self but what I noticed most was how inconsiderate a lot of people are to each other and it made me think “life’s too short for all this”.

With this in mind I’d like to offer you an olive branch, we have all said things in the heat of the moment in the past and if honest with ourselves maybe we should have thought twice before commenting. So my hand is there if you want it, clean slate, no need for admittance of who’s right or who’s wrong, just a move forward in the right direction!

Well , it's true that we all said silly things here without thinking sometimes , we abused with getting payed a salary for those kind of comments . I never told you I think or thought that you are a bad guy , my mistake is that I was expecting people to accept all my critics but let's say from now on we leave personal stuff behind and I am sorry if I offended anyone here , please don't take my critics as personal . I will say it also , let's move forward to the right direction .Everything which was negative is in the past .

I am afraid I will be more by Benzema's side ;) But if I have to compare between Trappattoni's tactics or Domenech's I think this last one is the last clown I will cheer for .

Nice week end .

Well it's a darn shame that a GREAT player like Ronaldo got hurt in that La Liga game and he's been out for sooo long. It really looked innocent enough at the time but apparently it was not!

Now, my cousin lives in Alcorcon and when they DEFEATED Real 4 to zip in the first meeting in La Copa Del Rey i thought..." This Chilean Pellegrini really does want to go to Italy and SELL Pellegrini bottled water!" The second leg wasn't any better (saw the game on GOLTV) and with this i firmly believe that Pelligrini should be replaced IMMEDIATELY! Plus look at his face...he looks like a BROKEN man!

Hope Ronaldo gets well because he's obviously an IMPACT player for Real!

Does anybody know IF Ronaldo will be pplaying this weekend with Bosnia Herzegovina game???

Thanks and don't forget:
