Mourinho takes a shot at Balotelli

9 November 2009 10:08

Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho wasn't satisfied at all with Mario Balotelli's performance against Roma.

The draw against Roma (1-1) left Jose Mourinho less than satisfied. The Inter Milan boss was fuming over Inter, Roma, the referee and especially Mario Balotelli.

Inter fought back from a goal down to draw 1-1 at home with the Romans after Samuel Eto'o replied to Mirko Vucinic. Mourinho was all but pleased with what he saw.

"We saw a match that was close to awful, and if it was like this, it means that all three teams were awful," Mourinho told Sky Sports Italia.

"Three teams? Yes. One wanted to win but didn't do enough to succeed. Another didn't want to win and showed it didn't want to, and the third team was the one that played a game it was easy to whistle in, and the referee whistled forty or fifty times."

Mourinho rested several players against the Giallorossi, drawing accusations of not fielding an offensive lineup. He replied: "I played an attacking Inter, with Milito, Eto'o, Stankovic, Motta and Muntari, and I think that this is an attacking team."

The Portugese coach once again opened attack on the rebellious Mario Balotelli. Mourinho was absolutely furious with the teenager.

"My opinion of Mario's performance? Close to zero. I didn't like his attitude, he didn't make much movement, he worked little for the team, which was in difficulty. Sneijder was tired and this is why he wasn't a starter. Stankovic was injured and I didn't have any more changes available.

"Milito was at the limit of his form, Balotelli had played forty-five minutes in Kiev last Wednesday and he could have done a lot more today."

Mourinho asked the media to help him in this case.

"This is Mario. He steps on to the field and we never know what he can give to the team - everything or nothing. I urge the media to stay closer to my strategy and so together we can help him.

"He listens and talks to the Coach, but sometimes I don't know if he is 100 per cent in agreement with me. He has improved, but with the talent he has he ought to be giving more by now."

The problem with Balotelli is that he likes to provoke , he concentrate a lot to find an opponent to fight with rather than concentrate to play nice football , yesterday he thought he could disturb Mexes with his attitude but it went the other way , all his team deconcentrated and Roma played better football than Inter's english style , just run fastly and focused on physical fight to win the game .Inter are butchers of Italy !

It may be true that Balotelli is somewhat unreliable, understandable considering his young age, but it is also true that the coach doesn’t like him. Mourinho keeps Mario playing from time to time just to fend off critics who would like to see more Italians in the starting eleven. When Balotelli scores, Mourinho never praises him, but criticizes the young player immediately when he doesn’t perform. Look for Balotelli to go elsewhere in January. AC Milan would be a good destination.

With the exception of MU, all my other teams won. I saw Real Madrid’s game and I can honestly say that they put on a solid display until Sergio Ramos was ejected. Kaka and Marcelo’s goals were close to being spectacular. Higuain’s goal was nice. It was a little scary at the end but RM got another useful win.

AC Milan is beginning to make waves again. I didn’t see the game but an away win is always welcome.

Milan's game was a lot better than Chelsea-ManU game .Galliani predicted Ronaldinho to wake up when he was critisised over Kaka's sale .I am afraid it's too late to catch Inter , time will say if other teams are able to stop them like Rome did yesterday .
