Fabio Capello

England have practically qualified for next year's World Cup, having beaten Andorra 6-0 in Wednesday's qualifier.

Fabio Capello's men didn't need long to score their first goal, with Wayne Rooney hitting the net on four minutes. Frank Lampard made it 2-0 near the half hour mark.

Rooney added another to hand England a 3-0 lead at half time. Jermain Defoe scored twice, in minutes 73 and 75, followed by the sixth and final goal from Peter Crouch with ten minutes left.

Having won all of their first seven games, the English are ten points ahead of Croatia and Ukraine. Both have a game in hand.

is this even news?

the andorra nat'l soccer team has been around for 10 years and only have won 3 games. if you dont beat them by 5+ theres something wrong.

and a population of 88,000. honestly the city I live in has a bigger population. its like the england national team against daly city. this doesnt prove anything.

Yeah - only the niave would get carried away with this but as John Terry recently said and others have said, lesser fancied teams are getting better at being internationally competiative and for this reason a goal spree against them is not always possible - but a goal spree occured. England are showing the ability to unlock defences now and in many ways - a warning of their ability to WIN the next world cup - make no mistake. The time is right - the hunger is there,
