Tim Borowski

German footballer Tim Borowski returns to Werder Bremen after just one year at Bayern Munich.

Borowski joined Bayern as a free agent in 2008 and played 27 games for the Bavarians, scoring five times. He rarely formed part of the starting line-up however, and this was not going to change under new manager Louis van Gaal.

"With Tim, we are getting a very experienced player who really fits into our young team," Werder manager Klaus Allofs said on the club's official website.

"We found a solution satisfactory for both sides. We are really happy that this transfer worked. We have already celebrated success with 'Boro'. he knows the structures in Bremen and I think that he is also happy about joining us."

The 29-year-old midfielder first joined Werder in 2000, and soon became one of the key pillars at 'die Schwaben'.

In Germany they don't call Werder 'die Schwaben', Stuttgart is from 'Schwabenland' not Werder:).

About Boro, as a Bayern fan, I feel sorry for him because I think he is on the same level with van Bommel, and is even younger than him, so I cant see the reason why they let him go.

Forza Bayern!
