Van Gaal wants to end the Ribery saga

European giants Bayern Munich's coach Luis van Gaal wants an end to star player Franck Ribery's future.

One of the most sought after player in Europe, the 26 year-old is being pursued by Premier League giants Chelsea and big money spenders Real Madrid.

Van Gaal told the Bild am Sonntag newspaper: "The rumours are not good for Franck, not good for Bayern Munich and not good for me.

"It must be resolved quickly. We must solve the problem but it is not that simple.

"There are many factors involved, not least the money."

But the France international himself admitted last week he would leave the club if Real made a bid for the playmaker, forcing Bayern to sell him.

"He wants to go, if the reports are correct," added Van Gaal.

"I need to speak to him about it."
