ROME (AFP) - David Beckham's AC Milan debut impressed Italian Prime Minister and former club chairman Silvio Berlusconi.
"David Beckham impressed me a lot - he showed great professionalism and modesty," the Ansa news agency on Tuesday quoted Berlusconi as saying.
Beckham produced a workmanlike debut for the club in the 2-2 weekend draw at AS Roma after the former Manchester United and Real Madrid veteran made a surprise start following his loan from LA Galaxy.
The England midfielder was also widely praised by the club hierarchy as well as his teammates.
