AC Milan and Real Madrid in a race for Jermaine Pennant
Liverpool's midfielder and England Under 21 International Jermaine Pennant
It has been confirmed that AC Milan has joined the race to sign Liverpool’s midfielder Jermaine Pennant.
Real Madrid were close to signing the England Under 21 International but at the last minute Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez demanded more than the three million Pounds that Real Madrid had offered.
Pennant’s contract is expected to expire at the end of this season and Benitez may be keen to cash in now.
It has reported that AC Milan have offered Pennant a pre-contract which would see him playing in the Serie A next season.
