Croatian defender Marko Babic has joined Primera Liga outfit Real Zaragoza as a free agent as he makes a return to the Primera Division side.
The 28-year-old moves to Spain after being released by Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin at the end of last season.
Babic, who has won 49 caps for his country, becomes Zaragoza's sixth signing of a busy summer as they prepare for life back in the Spanish top-flight.
He has prior experience of life in the Primera Liga from a two-year stint at Real Betis between 2007 and January 2009.
Babic began his career in his homeland with Osijek and was a part of the Bayer Leverkusen team that lost in the Champions Leagu final of 2002 against Real Madrid.
He could yet be joined at Zaragoza by Real Madrid striker Alvaro Negredo, with Marcelino Garcia Toral's men the favourites to land the highly-rated frontman.
