China beat Singapore 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 result in regular time
China PR lifted the first ever National Day Challenge Trophy, beating hosts Singapore on penalties after a 1-1 result.
Only seven minutes had been played at Singapore's National Stadium when striker Noh Alam Shah score the opening goal in the home side's favor.
But the Chinese reacted 20 minutes later, as forward Yang Hao made it 1-1. This would also be the final score as neither side showed much motivation in the second half.
In the penalty shoot-out, China scored four while Singapore only needed three. As such, the visiting side got to lift the friendly cup.
Both sides used this game as preparation for next month's Asian Cup qualifiers.
