Heracles Almelo are no longer in direct relegation danger following a convincing 4-0 victory over a surprisingly disappointing NAC Breda this Friday.
Jan Wuytens opened the score on 12 minutes and Ricky van den Bergh converted a spot kick for 2-0 another 12 minutes later.
The third goal came from Juha Hakola in the 27th minute, and Willy Overtoom made it 4-0 five minutes after the break. No more goals were scored in the second half as Heracles calmly defended their advantage.
As a result, Heracles are now in 13th place with a six-points advantage over the best placed team in the relegation zone.
The dutch relegation battle is anything but decided as even last-placed FC Volendam are only three points away from safety.
