Striker Nicolas Anelka has hinted he would like to stay at Stamford Bridge when his current contract ends. The Frenchman moved to Chelsea from Bolton in a £15million transfer in January and has found it difficult to establish himself as a regular in the side, but he insists he is planning to stay for a long time to come.

"I am already very happy to have signed for a club like Chelsea. I have been waiting for that since my departure from Liverpool six years ago," Anelka told L´Equipe.
