Popular African side Ivory Coast took another step towards qualification for the World Cup in South Africa in 2010 when they drew 1 – 1 with Mozambique in the capital city of Maputo in Mozambique earlier today.

Going into halftime at 0 – 0 Ivory Coast’s striker Bakary Kone gave the West Africans the lead shortly after the break.

This lead was short lived however when four minutes later Miro equalised.

The Ivory Coast remains unbeaten and with the return of Chelsea’s striker Didier Drogba qualification appears imminent.
