YAROSLAVL (SW) - Rubin Kazan are another step closer to winning the Russian championship following a 0-2 win at Shinnik Yaroslavl.
For their 25th game of the season, league leaders Rubin travelled to last-placed Shinnik for what turned out to be a rather easy task.
Noboa put Rubin in the lead after 38 minutes and Ukrainian Sergei Rebrov doubled the advantage with four minutes to go.
Rubin now have 54 points from 25 games, ten points more than CSKA Moskva. The Muscovites do have a game in hand though, against Amkar Perm on Sunday.
