Former Spanish international striker Diego Tristan has joined West Ham United after having left Italian Serie B side AS Livorno Calcio.

Previously Tristan was at the Spanish Primera Division sides Deportivo La Coruna and Real Mallorca before moving to Italy to play in the Serie A with AS Livorno Calcio.

While at Livorno he scored only once in twenty appearances as they were relegated to the Serie B at the end of the 2007/8 season.

He played fifteen times for his country Spain between 2001 and 2004.
