"Liverpool can win the Premiership:" Fernando Torres

MADRID (SW) - Liverpool striker Fernando Torres believes that his side has the ability to win this year's Premiership, he told the club's official website.

Liverpool haven't won a league title in 18 years, but Torres feels that this might just be their year. "I believe we can win the Premier League or the UEFA Champions League.

"Arsenal produce great football, Liverpool and Chelsea are very difficult teams to play against and Manchester United played fantastically well last year," he continued.

"All the teams have different styles but are equally effective. I think the four biggest teams in England are now the best in Europe. We have a good chance of doing well but it won't be easy to finish above any of the other three sides."

Torres was one of Liverpool's most influential players last season, scoring a total of 24 league goals - 33 in all competitions.

It's refreshing guys like Torres and Fabregas are so enthusiastic for their own clubs, unlike some players.

Quite a tall order for the Reds who have Torres & Gerrard as match winners against Arsenal who have Cesc, Adebayour, R V Persie!!!! Nasri, Walcott!

Liverpool it's more like a team than Arsenal, more team, less big figures, i think! i agree on Cesc and Adebayour but R V Persie!!!! Nasri, Walcott still have a lot to prove before we can put them in the same category. i believe!

Opposition fans like to play a game of poke the bear when they visit Stamford Bridge. Chants of: ''Sh*t fans, no history!" bellow out the mouths of the visiting support, but what constitutes history? Trophies? Don't be daft. The answer is notable events.
