Bad news for Carlos Tevez

Dave Cohen - 12 October 2008 10:22

Argentinean and Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez

It is highly likely that Carlos Tevez may not be given a permanent contract at Manchester United after all.

The news that Sir Alex Ferguson may make a £20 million bid for Brazilian and Gremio striker Douglas Costa could mean that there will be no money left for a new Tevez deal.

The eighteen year old striker has also been shown interest from the Spanish giants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.

The Argentinean forward scored fourteen goals for Manchester United last season and made a substantial contribution to the club’s Premier League and Champions League success.

United already have a strong Brazilian contingent in the club and that could sway the youngster who would have the pick of clubs from which to choose.

I think they both will be part of MU. Reds have a lot of cash and Douglas Costa is to young to replace Tevez.
