FIRENZE/MUNICH (SW) - Olympique de Lyon and Bayern Munich have secured a spot in the second round of the Champions League following wins over Steaua Bucharest and Fiorentina respectively.
The Bavarians did take a while to break the deadlock against Steaua, but the home crowd got their ticket's value in the second half.
Miroslav Klose opened the score on 57 minutes and Luca Toni doubled the lead four minutes later. Klose went on to add a third just after the hour.
Lyon needed only 15 minutes to take the lead at Fiorentina, with Makoun opening the score. Striker Karim Benzema added a second in the 27th minute.
