Manchester United Argentine striker Carlos Tevez(R), seen here on November 11, 2008, will be a Real Madrid player next season, the Marca sports daily reported on Friday.

MADRID (AFP) - Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez will be a Real Madrid player next season, the Marca sports daily reported on Friday.

"Tevez said 'yes' to Madrid...for next season," claimed the newspaper which added that a deal between Real and the Argentine international has already been signed.

Real are desperate for reinforcements having seen Dutch striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy ruled out for at least six months with a right knee injury suffered in the Champions League defeat to Juventus in October.

Real are fourth in La Liga, five points behind leaders Barcelona.

as a united fan I would hate to see him go, and wold love to see him used more. would not blame him for going, given the limited playing time he is getting.

gfmallin, here is what I predicted at the time (Nov. 13) when Tevez was rumored to go to Real Madrid. Tell me if you like it.

Here is the right deal. This is part of my infallible prediction::

Tevez will go to Real Madrid.

Calderon will ship two players to MSL in exchange.

Manchester will receive 15 Million, an apology and a promise that RM will not temper with C. Ronaldo any more.

When Nistelrooy is ready to play again, he will be sent back to M. United.

Tonto will receive 1 Million and the Nobel Prize for Peace for having suggested the most sensible solution for the 3 teams involved!

Hell no we don't want Tevez.....

Tonto here is my infallible prediction:

if Tonto gets the million he will split it by half and send chakal 500000 just don't use the canadian tax method becaus then chakal would receive .01 dollars.

tevez will be succesful at Real, Joga what do you mean "we don't want Tevez" we want whatever we can get at this point, but tevez is worlclass player, better suited for spain!

Well I'm biased against Argentinians...and we really need a winger...

But what do You mean he is suited for Spain (and worldclass for that matter) he has never played there...

His goal record isn't very impressive...I would rather have someone more reliable...hell let Bernd bring in another Dutchman

chakal, my chances of getting $1Million from Real Madrid is as good as your chance of playing in the WC Finals for my beloved Italy. As far as giving you $500,000 in Canadian funds, keep in mind that the US dollar is not going to be worth more than the Canadian if you consider that Canada has more natural resources and less people to use them than the USA..

DAMN WHAT TO DO

If Ruud is out for 6 months then that means I gotta get him out of my uefa champions league fantasy team....problem is when you trade someone you lose all their points.....crap what a blow....

they would do much better if they check german top scorer's list; mainly unknown, cheap but excellent players on the top of the list

Exactly, however Hoffenheim wouldn't release their stars, but try Holland there are many cheap stars there.

Maybe Tevez can be better in RM, I suppose.
