Jonathan Roorda - 19 November 2008 23:11

Robin van Persie

AMSTERDAM (SW) - Two goals from Arsenal's Robin van Persie and one from Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt earned the Netherlands a 3-1 victory over Sweden.

Robin van Persie put the Dutch ahead on 32 minutes and added another just after the break to give his side a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Kim Källström soon ended those celebrations by netting for 2-1 a minute after Van Persie's second goal.

The decider came in added time, when Dirk Kuyt restored the original two-goal gap for a 3-1 victory, their fourth consecutive win.

I wonder what squad they fielded because Sweden defeated Holland 3-0 today in a U21 friendly.

But I guess it is reassuring to see Holland defeat a team like Sweden when a team like Portugal is held to a nil nil draw
