LONDON (AFP) - Everton boss David Moyes has escaped a touchline ban after pleading guilty to a charge of improper conduct related to his berating of the officials during his side's 3-2 win over Stoke on September 14.

The Football Association (FA) on Tuesday decided to fine the Scot 5,000 pounds and warn him as to his future conduct after taking into account his apology, admission of the charge and previous good behaviour.

Moyes was sent to the stands during the Stoke match after reacting furiously when referee Alan Wiley rescinded his decision to award Everton a penalty for handball.

The referee initially pointed to the spot but, after consulting his linesman, awarded a free-kick just outside the area.
