Fenerbahce crush Galatasaray

Fenerbahce fans

ISTANBUL (SW) - Fenerbahce fans finally had a reason to celebrate on Sunday, as their team beat arch rivals Galatasaray 4-1.

Galatasaray scored through Lincoln after less than two minutes, and many expected this clash to be yet another painful event for 'Fener'.

But Sahin equalised four minutes after the opener, and an own goal from Asik meant a 2-1 lead to the home side in the 28th minute.

Lugano then made it 3-1 shortly after the break and Deivid provided the fourth and final goal in added time.

Galatasaray now find themselves in fifth place at six points from leaders Trabzonsport, while Fenerbahce are seventh at seven points.

There is nothing much to say. We were hopeful and expecting a better result last night. Stunned, disappointed, confused...i dont' know which word could explain my feelings. In my opinion our coach Michael Skibbe must be point of the match.

Sefacancan, for a team that was "too good" for Benfica, Galatasaray looked like a bunch of hackers against Fenerbahce.

PS. Don't blame the coach. He does not play!

FENERBAHCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are you saying, Galatasaray beat Benfica easily....

And you can easily blame the coach, ever since we got Aragones it is making me wonder whether or not he pulled Spain together or they were already a great team, because we had a terrible start to the season, one of the worst ever.

I was confident Fenerbahce will win the game.. It was enough, Fenerbahce started the winning row.

Tonto,

Yes indeed our coach doesn't play but makes substitutions and this is a simple model how a coach could effect team as we saw last night. Skibbe hasn't got enough experience in order to be coach of us and i am pretty sure that he s gonna resign as soon as possible. Perhaps our board make an offer to you Tonto, what u say! You are old and former soccer player and surely you are experienced. Are you interested in coaching ? It should be better than posting soccer comments on blogs...

Sefacancan, no, thanks! I belong to that rare breed of superstars. As such, I'm aware that a great player like I wa does not make a great coach. Even Pele voiced the same opinion. He must have taken a page out of my book!
