SARAJEVO (SW) - No less than nineteen players of the Bosnia-Herzegovina national team refuse to take part in the team's friendly match with Azerbaijan on Sunday.

The players boy-cot the match as result of the association's decision to sack coach Meho Kodro last week.

Kodro was fired after refusing to take part in the team's friendly match with Iran, an event he was notified of just a day in advance.

While the players made a clear decision to support their previous coach, current manager Denijal Piric has difficulties accepting their point of view:

"They give Bosnia a bad name. We have to play this match, otherwise we'll get difficulties with FIFA. That's not the idea," said the coach.

Perijal is expected to use youth players to play this match and avoid such problems with the global governing organisation.
