It was announced in Barcelona today that the Argentinean defender Gabriel Milito could be sidelined for up to nine months.
The FC Barcelona player picked up a complete tear to his knee ligament in last month’s Champions League second leg semi final against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
It was initially believed that he would only be out for six months but the type of operation that is required could cause complications.
The twenty seven year old Milito tore the same ligament eight years ago
