Amkar up to second in Russia

Russian league leaders Kazan

FC Amkar Perm moved up to second in the Russian Premier-Liga thanks to a 1-0 win at struggling FC Terek Grozny on Sunday.

Amkar trail pacesetters FC Rubin Kazan – who lost 2-0 at FC Spartak Nalchik on Saturday – by five points, while FC Lokomotiv Moskva are third with a game in hand on the top two following a 2-0 home defeat of FC Tom Tomsk.
