PORTSMOUTH, May 11 (SW) - Fulham FC will spend another season in England's top flight after a 1-0 victory at Portsmouth.
Fulham needed a win to secure the seventeenth place and stay just ahead of Reading and Birmingham City.
It took a long time in Portsmouth, but in the 76th minute it was Danny Murphy to finally break the deadlock and add his name to the club's history books.
At the end of the season, Fulham have the same amount of points as Reading but also have a better goal record.
