NEWCASTLE, May 5 (SW) - Chelsea did what they needed to do to maintain their pressure on Manchester United, with a 2-0 win at Newcastle United.
Chelsea played their Premiership match a day later due to their Champions League clash with Liverpool last week.
The first sixty minutes were without goals, but then it was Michael Ballack to open the score. Florent Malouda decided the match in the 82nd minut.e
United and Chelsea have the same amount of points ahead of the final round of matches, but the Mancunians have a better goal record.
