LONDON, May 3 (SW) - Everton will have to wait another week to know whether they secure the fifth spot in this year's Premiership, following a 1-0 loss at Arsenal.
A draw would have been enough for the Toffees to decide the battle for fifth and the match did remain goalless for a long time.
But in the 76th minute, Arsenal made an end to things as Nicklas Bendtner broke the deadlock for 1-0.
Everton still risk losing the fifth spot to Aston Villa, who trail by three points.
Arsenal on the other hand, have a small chance of finishing second in the league. For that, Chelsea would need to drop points in both of their remaining games.
