Goalkeeper Diego López has extended his contract at Villarreal CF by two seasons until June 2014. The 26-year-old signed from Real Madrid CF last summer and has become a regular this season, forcing out Sebastián Viera.
 
Diego has made 12 league appearances this term, including Saturday's 3-0 win against Club Atlético de Madrid, which left his side second in the Primera División.
