Karlsruher SC have agreed a new two-year contract with homegrown defender Christian Eichner. The 25-year-old will stay with the Bundesliga's ninth-placed club for at least the next two seasons, having already made 87 league appearances for Karlsruhe.

KSC general manager Rolf Dohmen said: "We are proud and pleased that we have managed to keep one of our key players. We have done everything to keep him, because he had offers waiting for his approval from clubs in Germany and abroad."
