VIENNA (AFP) - Romania coach Victor Piturca warned Wednesday that his side were not worried about playing their Euro 2008 opener on June 9 against former world and European champions France.

Both teams are in Group C - dubbed the group of death - along with the Netherlands and reigning world champions Italy.

"I'm not afraid, nothing is lost," said Piturca. "We've come to play. France is a very great team with great players but it's football, it will be a very important match, very difficult but I hope to win."

Romania meet France again in qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup. They are in Group 7 with Serbia, Austria, Lithuania and the Faroe Islands.
