BERLIN, March (AFP) - Manuel Neuer, goalkeeper for Champions League quarter-finalists Schalke 04, admitted on Wednesday he was flattered to be linked to Spanish giants Barcelona - but is happy to stay at the Gelsenkirchen club.
The 21-year-old - who saved three penalties to put his German team in the Champions League's last eight at FC Porto last week - is reported to have attracted interest from Barcelona and Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
"I heard nothing about it," Neuer told German tabloid Bild
"If it is true, I would be honoured, of course, Barcelona are a top side."
But having been born and bred in Gelsenkirchen and under contract for another four years, Neuer admitted he has no plans to leave the Bundesliga side.
"I am a Schalker, my heart is here and I'm not wasting any thoughts on any other clubs."
