FULL TIME - It's over and things are getting more and more difficult for Italy. Romania would have preferred to take three points as well but won't be disappointed with their point in the long run.
Minute 90+3: Tamas takes the following free kick but it goes high.
Minute 90+2: De Rossi tackles Contra and gets booked by the ref.
Minute 90+1: Regular time has passed and the question is whether either team will take more than one point from this entertaining match.
Minute 88: Mutu seems to have injured himself at some point and needs to come off. Cocis gets to play a few minutes.
Minute 87: Italy claim a penalty kick but the referee is correct not to give it. Instead it's a free kick to Romania as Toni handled the ball.
Minute 85: Camoranesi comes off the pitch and his replacement is Ambrosini.
Minute 82: Andrea Pirlo sends a free kick well over the Romanian crossbar.
Minute 81: SAVE! Adrian Mutu takes the penalty and Buffon needs both hands and feet to block it but he does! Italy are still alive.
Minute 80: PENALTY ROMANIA - Niculae is pulled by Panucci and Ovrebo points to the penalty spot!
Minute 80: Niculita gets the ball on the egde of the penalty area but doesn't get the time to shoot as Grosso gets in between.
Minute 78: Almost an own goal as Cosmin Contra but Lobont controls. And less than a minute later, Contra is very valuable as he clears a low cross from Zambrotta.
Minute 77: Skipper Del Piero finished his job for today and is replaced with Borriello. Buffon is the new captain.
Minute 73: Great save by Lobont! Luca Toni finds De Rossi who heads on goal but the goalkeeper avoids the goal.
Minute 73: Goian gets a yellow card and is suspended for the match against the Netherlands, next Tuesday.
Minute 71: Romania now keep attacking while Italy must be getting more and more worried about the situation they're in. One point after two matches just wouldn't be good enough for the world champions.
Minute 70: Big chance for Romania as Niculae almost gets his foot to the ball but a defender gets there first.
Minute 64: De Rossi shoots on goal but hits a team mate.
Minute 63: Del Piero almost finds Luca Toni in the penalty area but the latter comes just too late.
Minute 61: Another yellow card and this time it's Andrea Pirlo after a foul on Niculita.
Minute 60: And that was Petre's last action as he now comes off for Niculita.
Minute 59: Petre tries a shot on goal but Fabian Grosso gets in the middle.
Minute 58: Cristian Chivu is yellow-carded for a foul and meanwhile, Donadoni brings on Cassano for Perrotta.
Minute 56: GOAL ITALY (1-1) - CRISTIAN PANUCCI heads in from close range after a Chiellini corner is misjudged by Tamas and levels only one minute after Romania's goal!!
Minute 55: GOAL ROMANIA (0-1) - ADRIAN MUTU - A huge defensive error from Zambrotta as he heads the ball right in front of Mutu's feet, and the Romanian has no difficulties opening the score!
Minute 54: Mutu gets the chance to shoot on goal and forces Buffon to make yet another fine save.
Minute 52: Del Piero must be in some sort of pain as he just received a painkiller from Italy's medic.
Minute 47: Italy go on with what they were doing before the break, with Pirlo trying to reach Toni with a high ball. Toni just misses it.
Minute 46: The second half has begun.
HALF TIME: It's half time and no goals have been scored so far. Italy should have been leading with Luca Toni scoring a perfectly legitimate goal but referee Ovrebo made a wrong call and whistled for off side.
Minute 45+2: Italy think to have scored but the referee won't allow it. Luca Toni heads past Lobont from a looping pass but the striker is judged off-side. A very controversial call as it doesn't look like he was!
Minute 45+1: No less than three minutes have been added to the first half.
Minute 43: Adrian Mutu gets a yellow card for a foul on Pirlo.
Minute 41: Whatever Italy does to try and score the opener, it's all with the head. Most danger is caused by free kicks and corner kicks with Luca Toni continuously in a lead role.
Minute 40: Another two chances in a row with Luca Toni involved but Bogdan Lobont makes two great saves.
Minute 39: Toni heads a right winged cross back into the area and the ball ends up in front of Perrotta, who fails to take advantage and puts it wide.
Minute 39: And so we're closing in on half time with no goals scored. This won't do any good to Italy's confidence.
Minute 33: Del Piero gets to take it but the attempt lacks precision.
Minute 32: Maybe a good chance for Italy, as the Azzurri get a free kick in a dangerous position.
Minute 29: A powerful distance shot from Rat goes just past the far post.
Minute 27: Luca Toni heads just wide of the left post from a Camoranesi cross.
Minute 26: Del Piero again dangerous but the attacker can't reach a cross that was sent in from the left.
Minute 25: Romania still with only ten players on the pitch but now the substitution is finally going to take place. Radoi is replaced with Dica.
Minute 22: A big blow for Romania as Radoi doesn't seem like he'll continue after that clash. Rat was the other victim but he will keep on playing.
Minute 21: Meanwhile two Romanians are receiving treatment after clashing their heads.
Minute 20: A free kick from captain Chivu is deflected by Panucci in the area and bounces of the left post!
Minute 18: Another save by Buffon after a long shot from Tamas. If it wasn't for Buffon, Italy would already be trailing.
Minute 17: Luca Toni now does manage a header but it goes well over the crossbar.
Minute 16: A sudden huge chance for Romania with Mutu only having the keeper to beat, but Buffon gets in the way to make the save and avoid the goal.
Minute 13: Italy close again as Luca Toni only just fails to get his head to the ball after a cross from the left.
Minute 9: Del Piero causes serious danger in front of the Romanian goal but ends up heading wide.
Minute 8: The Italians are clearly pushing for an early opener as they now spent most of their time on Romania's half.
Minute 7: A Tamas long ball almost reaches Mutu near the penalty area but the striker just misses it.
Minute 4: Del Piero tries a shot but it's blocked by a defender.
Minute 4: The first few minutes in Zürich saw no chances but the teams are setting a rather high pace.
Kick-off: The match is underway!
Pre-match: The anthems have been sang and the match is about to begin. The Italians showed a lot less confidence during the 'Fratelli d'Italia' than they did last monday.
