FULL TIME - Portugal are as good as certain for the next round after this win over the Czechs. Karel Brückner has a reason to worry as they will need a good result in the last match against Turkey.

Minute 90+1: <b>GOAL PORTUGAL (1-3) - QUARESMA</b> - Portugal break through the Czech defense and Cristiano Ronaldo passes to Quaresma to leave Cech without a chance. Quaresma makes no mistake and Portugal have secured the win!

Minute 90: Baros finds Koller who flicks it on to Sionko, but the following shot goes well over the crossbar.

Minute 89: A Czech attack causes some danger in the Portuguese area but it all ends when Sionko fouls Pepe.

Minute 88: Quaresma moves into the penalty area but hits the side net.

Minute 86: Jarolim is the Czechs' last replacement of the day, coming on for Jaroslav Plasil.

Minute 83: The Czechs almost level the score as a Libor Sionko header from a cross is well saved by Ricardo, who really saves his team here.

Minute 80: And Simao is taken off as well after a rather unconvincing display today. Quaresma is his replacement.

Minute 79: Nuno Gomes is done for the day and gives his captain's ribbon to Cristiano Ronaldo. Hugo Almeida joins the action.

Minute 78: Baros heads wide from a right winged cross. He probably should have left the chance to the better positioned Sionko.

Minute 77: Simao takes it but it goes right into the wall.

Minute 75: Polak brings down Deco just outside the Czech penalty area and Portugal get a dangerous free kick.

Minute 75: Scolari takes off Moutinho for Meira.

Minute 73: One experienced player, Galasek, comes on for the other. The tall Jan Koller will have to lead the attack in the remainder of this match.

Minute 70: Vlcek almost gets the ball at about one meter from the goal but Portuguese defender Ferreira gets in the middle.

Minute 68: First change of the match as Vlcek comes on for Matejovsky.

Minute 66: The Czechs have a free kick on the left wing but first goalkeeper Ricardo and then a Portuguese defender gets it away.

Minute 63: <b>GOAL PORTUGAL (1-2) CRISTIANO RONALDO</b> - Deco finds Cristiano Ronaldo from the right wing and the latter strikes past Cech from just outside the penalty area. Portugal go in the lead again!

Minute 62: Big chance for the Czechs as an Ujfalusi header goes just wide of the far post after another dangerous corner kick. This match could still go either way.

Minute 58: Portugal are getting a bit more dominant again. Cech needs to make another save as Simao shoots on goal.

Minute 56: Poor defense allows Nuno Gomes to break through but he has his effort blocked by a defender.

Minute 53: Nuno Gomes manages to get a shot on goal but it's straight at Cech, who collects easily.

Minute 48: Sionko sends in a low pass from the right but Plasil comes just too late to get his foot to the ball.

Minute 46: The second half is underway in Geneva.

HALF TIME - An entertaining first half is over with the score at 1-1.

Minute 45+2: Portugal have a free kick and Cristiano Ronaldo's effort is on goal, but saved by Cech.

Minute 44: Ronaldo gets a hit in the face from Ujfalusi but the referee didn't spot it. This match is slowly turning into a battle.

Minute 42: Powerful shot from Cristiano Ronaldo but Cech makes an impressive save.

Minute 41: Portugal get two consecutive corners but the Czech defense clear in both occasions.

Minute 35: Milan Baros leads a Portuguese counter-attack and finds his way into the Czech penalty area, but fails to get the ball to one of his team mates.

Minute 31: Bosinwa gets a yellow card for a foul on Galasek.

Minute 28: Matejovski gets away there as he probably should have been red-carded. After a foul on Petit, he actually stood on his opponent's hand.

Minute 25: Cristiano Ronaldo forces Cech to make a good save with a shot from about 20 meters. A highly entertaining match so far.

Minute 24: Deco comes close to his second but his shot from the edge of the penalty area curves away from the goal junction.

Minute 23: The first yellow card of the match goes to Jan Polak for a rather violent tackle on Pepe.

Minute 20: A distance strike from Petit goes well wide of the right post.

Minute 17: <b>GOAL CZECH REPUBLIC (1-1) LIBOR SIONKO</b> heads home from the a corner kick. The score is levelled again!

Minute 16: The Czechs close to creating a big chance but Sionko, at the goal line, can't reach a team mate.

Minute 15: Cech doesn't seem to be at his best today, and had more difficulties with a Petit shot than he should have.

Minute 12: With six defensive players in their line-up, the Czechs were clearly aiming to get a point out of this clash. Now they'll have to change their plans and start attacking.

Minute 8: <b>GOAL PORTUGAL (0-1) DECO</b> passes to Cristiano Ronaldo who doesn't get the ball past Petr Cech but Deco, in several tries, manages to put the ball into the net with several Czechs trying to get in the way. Portugal lead!

Minute 4: The first minor chance is for the Czechs, as a Sionko shot is blocked by defender Pepe.

Minute 1: The Portuguese start with the same eleven as in their match against Turkey. Not too surprising.

Kick-off: Jan Koller has been left out of Karel Brückner's selection and Milan Baros joins the starting line-up. Matejovski replaces Jarolim.

Pre-match: The anthems are being played at the Stade de Genève in Switzerland. It's dry, at a temperature of 21 degrees Celsius.
