Olympique Lyon President Jean – Michel Aulas has revealed that his club have started negotiations over Samuel Eto’o.

The Cameroon and FC Barcelona forward Eto’o is out of favour with the Spanish club.

However it is not certain at this stage as to whether the French club can actually afford the wages that the player will no doubt expect from such a move.

His best days are behind him. He could still do a job for a team such as Hibs.

Marca reports Manchester Utd. are interested in him and David Villa as well. The Cameroon players like Ivory Coast players, do pretty good in the Championnat. I hope he goes there. I'm sure the bloke has a lot more to offer.

Marca reports everything, from R. Madrid offering three small countries and a free ticket to Bon Jovi live in New York for Cristiano Ronaldo to Tontodonati inking a deal with AC Milan to become their new manager. The Spanish media are nothing more than propaganda machines, the National Enquirer of sports.

Eto'o would do well in Ligue 1, like many African footballers. He'd certainly get his wish of winning silverware at Lyon.... I don't think the rest of Ligue 1 wants to stop drawing 0-0 and catch Lyon any time soon.
