ATHENS (SW) - Greek international player Traianos Dellas has been given the task of finding a new club to spend the next season, as AEK Athens have terminated the player's contract.
AEK announce on their official website that club and player failed to come to an agreement to extend the deal.
Dellas spent a total of five seasons at AEK - two between 1999 and 2001 and the remaining three since re-joining the club from AS Roma in 2005. During those years, he scored a total of seven goals in 93 appearances.
The defender, who helped leading Greece to the European trophy in 2004, reportedly received lucrative offers from middle eastern clubs.
