Rada wants to change Koller's mind

Jan Koller

PRAGUE (SW) - New Czech coach Petr Rada won't simply accept Jan Koller's decision to retire from the national team, and plans to change the player's mind.

After Euro 2008, where the Czech didn't make it through the group phase, Koller announced that he would no longer be available for the national team.

Rada meanwhile, concluded that what he needs for the coming two years is a striker like Koller, and Karel Bruckner's replacement hopes that the tall forward finds his way back to the national team.

Koller, who currently plays at Russian side Krylya Sovetov, scored no less than 55 goals in 90 games for the Czech Republic.

Why? Is there something wrong with the mind Koller has?

Soccerway seems to think that Jan Koller is the goalkeeper for VfB Stuttgart...maybe they should get a better picture.

Koller is getting quite old, and I think that retirement has come at the right time. A legendary striker retires with his legendary coach. Good luck with your new club and beyond, Koller.
