Rosicky plans September comeback

AFP - 19 July 2008 11:01

Czech and Arsenal midfield star Tomas Rosicky, seen here in January 2008, insisted he hopes to be recovered from a knee operation and playing again in September.

PRAGUE (AFP) - Czech and Arsenal midfield star Tomas Rosicky insisted Saturday he hopes to be recovered from a knee operation and playing again in September.

"I know I'll miss the start of the club season. According to plans I should be back on the field in September," Rosicky told Czech daily Sport.

The Czech captain underwent an operation three weeks ago for an injury which has prevented him playing since the end of January and forced him to miss the European Championships.

Rosicky said he did not want to speculate whether he would be fit for the first 2010 World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland on September 10.

I often wonder why there aren't any women that post their comments on this blog. From a

personal viewpoint, I firmly believe that it's always inportant to hear a woman's

perspective.

So, this is an open invitation to all those chicks who regularly visit this blog, to join this forum and post their comments, in the spirit of friendship and love for the Beautiful Game.

Fred,

I thought I'd spread the message as widely as possible.

So far, nothing. Who knows, maybe there aren't any women that regularly access this blog. And if there are, they are obviously not interested.

In any case, this was the last one. No more !!!!

Giorgio, what's with this new avatar? Where's the scudetto? I didn't use mine because you had it first and I didn't wish to confuse Ajax and Bes TalentScout. They could blame me for something nasty you would say to them!

Ajax,

You're absolutely right. This news item is about Rosicky. He's a great player and he'd do well to stay on at Arsenal.

I'm rather surprised that none of the big European clubs have expressed any interest in him. This I find really strange !!
