PORTSMOUTH, England (AFP) - Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has admitted he would love to sign Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Redknapp has already broken Portsmouth's transfer record to land Peter Crouch this month and now he is considering another big-money move for Wright-Phillips, who faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge following Luiz Felipe Scolari's arrival.

"At the moment we like him, he is a good player but he belongs to Chelsea," Redknapp told Sky Sports News.

"We have spent some money on Peter Crouch, so the situation is that we have two other options but Shaun Wright-Phillips is a terrific player.

"You're always looking for one or two players to improve your squad.

"I feel we need to improve in one or two areas but every manager says that and I am sure we will get one or two before the start of the season."

Meanwhile, Redknapp was impressed with Gambian striker Omar Krumah in Wednesday's 1-1 draw against Exeter.

The striker, who trained with Southampton's academy last season, is on trial at Fratton Park.

"I was pleased with how OJ played - I thought he did well, we'll see how we go with him," Redknapp said.
