Gilberto Silva on his way out of Arsenal for Greek side Panathinaikos

Out of favour Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva has left The Emirates Stadium for Greek side Panathinaikos.

The fee is expected to be ₤5 million which is expected to be used for an attempt to sign Gareth Barry from Aston Villa.

With the deal over Barry between Aston Villa and Liverpool all but over Villa’s boss Martin O’Neill is likely to look elsewhere to off load Barry.
