MANCHESTER (SW) - Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo expects to spend the next three months recovering from the surgery he recently underwent on his ankle.
The Manchester United player visited Amsterdam to have the surgery. The club initially questioned the importance of this operation but agreed eventually.
Ronaldo told BBC that he will be sidelined for the coming twelve weeks, more or less, and added that the recovery is going as planned.
The 23-year-old, who was arguably Manchester United's most influential player in the Premiership and the Champions League last season, will consequently miss the team's season opener versus Newcastle United on August 16th.
