NEW YORK (AFP) - Sydney FC was named Friday to complete a four-club field in the inaugural Pan Pacific Championship to be staged later this month in Honolulu with English star David Beckham as the main attraction.

Beckham and his Los Angeles Galaxy teammates will face Japanese league champion Gamba Osaka on February 20 in one semi-final while the Australian side will meet Major League Soccer champion Houston Dynamo in the other semi-final.

The winners will meet February 23 at Aloha Stadium for the title.

Sydney FC was booked for the Hawaii trip after being ousted in the Aussie league semi-finals by Queensland.

The side features Brazilian World Cup player Juninho, Aussie standout Alex Brosque and US midfielder Michael Enfield, a former Galaxy player who has a knee injury.
