TOKYO (AFP) - Brazilian midfielder Emerson has reached an agreement to play for J-League first division side FC Tokyo, club officials said on Sunday.

The 27-year-old, whose full name is Emerson de Andrade Santos, transferred from Greek outfit Iraklis FC where he played from July last year.

"I spent fruitful seasons with each club I played for. I also do my best to help Tokyo win and make it a wonderful season for our supporters," Emerson said in a statement.

FC Tokyo finished 12th in the 18-team first-division with 14 wins, three draws and 17 defeats.
