Reggina have sacked coach Nevio Orlandi, the Serie A strugglers said on Tuesday.
The team from the southern city of Reggio Calabria are second-from-bottom with Sunday’s 2-0 home defeat by Sampdoria their tenth defeat of the campaign.
“Nevio Orlandi has been relieved from his responsibilities as first team coach,” a statement said on the club’s website (www.regginacalcio.com).
Orlandi was appointed in March and helped the side avoid relegation last season by four points.
The sale of striker Nicola Amoruso to Torino has been a major factor in their troubles this term.
