Chelsea's Didier Drogba scored the winning goal against Cluj

ROME/LONDON (SW) - Chelsea and AS Roma are through to the next round of the Champions League following home wins over Bordeaux and Cluj respectively.

AS Roma dominated throughout most of the match and Bordeaux lacked the mentality to really cause an upset.

The deadlock was broken in the 61st minute with Brighi netting for 1-0, and captain Francesco Totti himself netted to double the advantage in minute 79 and secure a spot in the next round.

Chelsea had a tougher time against Romanian side Cluj. Salomon Kalou did open the score in the 40th minute but Kone headed home to equalise ten minutes after the break. The winner came from Didier Drogba in the 71st minute.

Roma end the group stage in first place with twelve points. Chelsea are second with one point less and Bordeaux advance to the UEFA Cup.

No surprise here though Chelsea had a bit of a rough time!

Indeed, both Chelsea and Roma will struggle to get a win in the round of 16. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say neither of the two win their next match and will both be eliminated.

An italian team tops the group....good... it would have been better had Chelsea lost
