Hopeful Feyenoord crash to defeat at Heracles

31 August 2008 22:31

Feyenoord Rotterdam

ALMELO (SW) - Feyenoord Rotterdam suffered a painful defeat at Eredivisie minnows Heracles Almelo on Sunday, and start the season in the same way the last two ended.

Feyenoord have been going through a rough phase in their 100-year-old history, having delivered two of the most disappointing seasons ever.

Having attracted new coach Gert Jan Verbeek, and with the return of Danish striker Jon Dahl Tomasson, Feyenoord hoped to make an end to their crisis but their first match of the season showed anything but an improved team.

Bahía did open the score within the minute, giving his side good hope for the remainder of the match, but influential Jonathan De Guzman conceded a red card after elbowing an opponent on the half hour mark.

From here on things went down hill for Feyenoord. The home side levelled through Douglas in the 38th minute and Klavan made it 2-1 in the 60th. Feyenoord kept trying to equalise but Bridji decided the clash with 3-1 in stoppage time.

Ajax, this must make the defeat of Ajax against Willem a bit easier.

Cile_car. Nice to meet you. I'm one of Ajax's closest allies on this site (not). I think you will find that our good friend Ajax crawls back into the woodwork where his own team is concerned but always quick enough to slate other team’s mishaps!

Well I've already seen once, but to consider, there are worse characters here.

Cile_car,

You can say that again.

I have drawn up my own Black List of characters who are not welcome (in my opinion) on this blog. And I have a Waiting List of individuals who have shown potential to be black-listed.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Ajax is a good guy he just has a severe dislike of Manure, as he likes to call it. The problem is that there is never much in the news about his team and when there is it usually bad. Deep down Ajax knows he is a closet Red; it’s like when we were kids and if you liked a girl 9 times out of 10 us boys would be nasty to lady in question, it was our way of showing affection. This is exactly what Ajax is up to, he loves United really he just struggles to accept it!

Newtonheath my Man,

That's my No. 1 Avatar, i.e. Monfalcone football club. And I happen to be in Monfalcone on vacation right now.

Whereas I see that you change your logo on a regular basis. This new logo looks rather similar to the Cuban flag !!

Giorgio, I'm just asking from curiosity, if you want to share that list with the rest of us.

Guys, don't get carried away, we aren't in Orwell's "1984". You either accept this blog as it is, or .... you know what.

P.S. Afree peace of advise to the aspiring freudist here: the matter's too deep for you m8, stick to simpler things like hailing manure.

Hi Fred, hope your well. I didn’t go to Saudi I actually went to your motherland for a week, I go to lido de Jesolo near Venice every couple of years for a week or two. The family love it especially the kids as the resort has a huge water park there.

Giorgio, I like to change my avatar on a regular basis, as they say “a change is as good as a rest”

Ajax, I’m no aspiring Freudist I just say it how it is. I have more intelligence in my little finger than you have as a whole Ajax so I could go way, way deeper so deep your mind would be warped. Thanks for the advice but it is spelt “a free piece of advice”. Stick to the text talk “m8”

Ajax,

You're probably right, but your rules must apply to all SoccerWay bloggers, with no exception !!

And Cile_car, maybe I will share the Black List and Waiting list with all bloggers. The time has to be right !!!

Giorgio, I'm hardly the man to set up rules, here or anywhere else, but I'd suggest the simplest basic line of conduct in a place like this: respect the others' opinions and defend yours. If in the process you can refrain from personal offences it would be close to perfection. Of course no exeptions, it goes without saying. Since this blog, or site, or whatever, doesn't have an admin /at least I haven't noticed the presence of any so far/ then it's us that have to show some auto-control.

Ajax, the above comment by yourself is rich with hypocrisy; you are one of the worst offenders of what you are objecting against. Admittedly I am no saint, especially where you are concerned Bandwagon boy but at least I admit it instead of trying to hide behind some moralistic stance! Do I see cracks appearing my closet red friend?
