Argentinean and Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo

Lazio coach Delio Rossi has said that he would like to sign Hernan Crespo from Inter Milan before the transfer window ends in a few days time.

The Argentinean goal poacher had his most successful years when previously with Lazio from 2000 – 2002. During those three seasons his strike rate was the highest that it has been with any club, fifty two goals in only seventy matches.

Rossi added that he was not looking to simply plug gaps but to fill his team with top quality players. He hoped to sign the striker before the season commences in a week’s time.

If Hernan Crespo were to move to Lazio then it could come at quite a cost to the player as he would have to take a significant cut in salary.
